What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a marketing channel? And why should an online marketing professional need one?

It's a marketing strategy that you employ to convince prospective customers to purchase your products. It's a sales process in which a visitor comes to your website to find information that could solve a problem. You can build a rapport with every person you meet using certain tools.

This will enable you to fully understand your visitors' needs. This will help you provide the best information possible to all visitors. The visitor will feel more confident buying your product if you have gained their confidence. The customer becomes the visitor.

In time, many customers turn into extremely loyal clients who are willing to purchase just about every item that you promote on your site. A marketing funnel is comprised of the various steps of sales that it takes to convert a regular visitor to your website to a loyal customer who wants to buy everything that you can throw at them.

This is the goal that should be achieved. This can be achieved easily with a properly designed funnel.

Your marketing efforts are grabbing the attention of people, and bringing them to your funnel. Once they fill out your PERSONAL form, they will be automatically enrolled in the funnel. I say "personal" because nobody is going to opt in to your lead capture for business page. They want an executive to join them and not a small-scale company.

Lead capture pages are the gateway to the funnel. When they click "Signup Now" or "Enter There", they will be entering a brand new world of marketing via network.

The best part is that they have qualified themselves to do it. It's their decision. You've sold them nothing except yourself as a leader, a mentor, and as someone who can show them how to get more leads and more cash into their business.

This is the way a typical funnel functions.

On the "front-end" you can offer an offer that is free to draw and qualify people who may have an interest to purchase your products further down the sales funnel. You must register to receive the product (also called opt in) and enter your email address as well as your name. Then, they will be added to your email marketing list.

Now that you have the contacts on your email, you can make them aware of offers that are similar to theirs.

Signing up for the complimentary offer will take them to a page with low-price offers or a "trip wire offer". This is where they move to the "back-end of the funnel."

If they purchase the bargain offer, they'll be added to another similar offer for a higher price (normally known as an "upsell"). And if the person also buys this higher priced offer, they will again be transferred to the next product at an even more expensive price. This can continue for a long time...
